Who should attend:

US Laboratories and Conformity Assessment Bodies involved in the CE Marking requirements for Radio Devices.

Planning to maintain and update your Notified Body status under the new requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive? The new requirements, Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU, will be in-force on 13 June 2016 and will apply to all radio devices that are intended to be placed on the European Union market. This new Directive repeals the Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive (RTTE Directive, 1995/5/EC) which has governed the regulatory compliance of radio and terminal equipment.

Several key elements of the “RED” will be discussed, including:

  1. Roles of Notified Bodies under the new regime
  2. Manufacturer, importer and distributor obligations
  3. New documentation requirements
  4. New assessment criteria
  5. Changes in the classification of equipment
  6. Options for Notified Bodies under the US-EU Mutual Recognition Arrangements
