Mike Violette received an award from Roger Martin of the IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (ISTO) for his service to the Board of Directors from 2013-2016. The goal of the ISTO is to facilitate the use and implementation of standards across many technologies and communities. The ISTO also supports industry organizations to manage operations, conferences, training and communications.
The award was presented to Mike under the sculpture of a guy riding a dolphin, or maybe a small whale, not sure.
