ANSI C63.10 Webinar Description
Wireless devices are part of our everyday lives. The expansion of new technologies in the past dozen years has created an enormous new demand for testing and certification (over 17,000 devices were certified in 2013 by the Federal Communication Commission and Telecommunication Certification Bodies (TCB) on behalf of the FCC).
Many of the wireless products that we use for communications, safety, monitoring, sensing and control are unlicensed devices. These are low-power (less than 1 W, typically) and operate over a large range of frequencies.
The Accredited Standards Committee, C63 on Electromagnetic Compatibility has developed an American National Standard, C63.10, for compliance testing of unlicensed wireless devices. This standard includes many of the methods for characterizing, measuring and reporting data necessary for certification. It is incorporated into the FCC Rules by reference. It is also being used by Industry Canada for certification of similar products marketed in Canada.
Who Should Attend
Wireless device designers, compliance engineers, test laboratory engineers, regulatory product managers, certification personnel, test report preparers and technicians.
