This workshop provides practical
information for professionals developing equipment and those
responsible for EMI control in nuclear energy power plants. This
course provides fundamental product design guidance along with
detailed information on developing comprehensive test procedures
and the selection of applicable requirements. In addition to
discussion of the basic design principles, qualification testing
methods are reviewed to better understand how the product will
be evaluated and how the design concepts support compliance.
Critical to equipment qualification and placement is the
understanding of the Electromagnetic (EM) environment. This
workshop covers facility EM mapping and how to understand and
interpret the mapping results to mitigate risk when locating new
equipment in the plant environment.
Who Should Attend
This course has been designed to address the
practical aspects of EMC Design and qualification. Those best
suited to attend are engineers and technicians involved in
equipment planning, design, installation and commissioning, such
as:
Test & Qualification Engineers
Test Technicians
I&C Design Engineers
Anyone who needs an understanding of EMI and power facility
implications
Course Outline
This workshop provides comprehensive
details on test setups, calculations, calibration,
trouble-shooting, practical methods and data collection.
